Living Woods North East are looking to establish and extend native woodlands and shelter belts in our region.
The UK only has 13% woodland cover (with the North East being one of the most impoverished when it comes to trees) compared to the European average of 37%.
We want to enrich the landscapes of the North East by helping to bring back native woodlands through tree planting events with volunteers, community groups, and anyone else who wants to join in.
Help us make the North East a more beautiful and biodiverse place to live by connecting us with a whole variety of landowners.
Our main work involves planting trees on other people’s land, so if you know anyone who might be thinking they would like their land to be enriched with native trees, then please get in touch with us here, or pass this message on
.
Thank you!
